Hello! My name is Corinne Bassett (I go by Corey). I am a researcher and urban forester.
I have been lucky to live and work in many cities including Washington, D.C., Vancouver, BC, Honolulu, HI, San Diego, CA, Philadelphia, PA, and New York, NY.
I am a Postdoctoral Associate at the Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University, and am part of Kelvin Fong‘s Laboratory for Environmental Assessment and Population Health (LEAPH), in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health.
In spring 2024, I completed my PhD at the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Forestry. There, I was supervised by Susan Day and Cecil Konijnendijk and was a member of the Urban Forest Ecosystems Lab and the Urban Natures Lab, both part of the community of researchers at UBC’s Urban Forestry Research Hub.
I would love to talk trees, people, and cities with you! You can get in touch with me on LinkedIn, X, or by email.
